As I've been browsing some of my favourite and also new blogs I have noticed a trend of people writing down their monthly goals and thought I would give it a go to help me on the path to achieving my resolutions.
I think breaking my resolutions down into chunks throughout the year will make them more manageable and I am more likely to succeed so I am going to be doing this type of post each month.
Be more organised with planning meals
I have sort of planned meals this week, well I sorted out lunches! I have made a healthy soup that I can take with me to work and also all the ingredients to make a healthy tuna sandwich filling so I can have that when the soup runs out.
I need to be more organised with evening meals though as I never know what to have, which can lead to a quick unhealthy meal.
Our freezer is crammed full of things so I think I'll have a look in there for inspiration as we need to clear it anyway; some stuff has been in there a long time!
I'll make a promise now that I will write a proper meal plan for the coming weeks. There are so many nice printables out there that make it so easy to do so I have no excuse! It will help us be less wasteful with food, save money and hopefully eat healthy at every meal.
Get back into my fitness routine
Over christmas I have eased off my fitness routine, mainly because the gym closest to my house closed for refurbishment, which meant having to trek to the town centre which is a real pain.
I have actually really enjoyed relaxing and not getting up on a weekend and leaving for the gym at 8. I've spent quality time with my partner and family which has been lovely.
But now I'm starting to feel sluggish so I definitely need to get some cardio back in my life!
So I'm going to commit to a minimum 3 weekly gym sessions.
I have also started the 30 day Yoga Challenge with Adrienne on Youtube. I have wanted to do yoga for a long time but never built up the courage to take a class so video's I can do at home are perfect. It alls helps with my resolution of doing more exercise at home.
Do not let holiday packing stress me out
In a few weeks time we are going away for a little skiing holiday. Wherever we go I always get stressed out about packing and making sure we have everything we need before we go.
This year I want to be different. I want to be relaxed when I get there not panicking that I forgot my toothbrush!
So I'm going to make a list of everything we need; what we have and what we need to buy; and stick to it.
Hopefully then I'll be organised and stress free!
Properly organise what I want to do with my blog
In the run up to me starting this blog I wrote down so many things that I would like to write about and explore. I have multiple documents with ideas in spanning many different applications.
This month I want to collate them all into one place and really get a firm plan in place for the coming months.
I have an editorial calendar but it really needs tightening up into some concrete plans that I know I can work towards efficiently.
I want to create really good content for you all and I think this will help me achieve this.
So there it is.
My goals for January.
Hopefully this will help me stick to my resolutions.
